Course Descriptions

Short Course: The 3.1 mile loop contains a little mix of everything! This course is entirely within Caledonia State Park and uses the Ramble Trail and Three Valley Trail. There are smooth gravel sections, rocky sections, and a challenging hill thrown in for good measure. You can walk, run, and ramble your way through the park, and we feel confident you will enjoy it all! There will be an aid station to catch your breath and grab some goodies and enthusiasm to finish up your adventure! Rough map:

Long Course: This course has it all! Breathtaking views, smooth fire roads, technical sections, and yes, some climbs! With 2000 feet of climbing you'll need to be able to go uphill and downhill, but the views are worth it! The course meanders around Long Pine Reservoir where you will have great views and nice single track trail to cruise on. Trail shoes are highly recommended. There are a total of 4 road crossings, and while there will be traffic control, the roads are open to vehicles. No headphones will be allowed, stay attentive! Course map:

Aid Stations: There will be 4 aid stations stocked with food, gels, electrolyte mix, and water. The course will be well marked with blue ribbons and volunteers at every turn and road crossing. Participants must be through the last aid station (mile 12) by 2pm.

Weather: We reserve the right to delay the start due to weather. Race will be run rain or shine. No refunds. Our policy to is keep participants safe with prudent weather decisions. Participants will encounter rocky, uneven terrain throughout the course, proceed with caution.

Inspiration: You might recognize our employee Doug Fickel who has A-T. He has thrived despite going through many tough times. Doug will be at the race sharing stories and encouraging you to finish strong! You will go the distance just by seeing Doug!
