April is almost here and the spring fundraising season is about to kick off! The A-T Children’s Project and the A-T community are so grateful to have a full calendar of events as we welcome back seasoned fundraisers, newer fundraisers and everyone in between.

FAMILY FIRST FOR A-T – April 3 – May 31, VIRTUAL

You won’t want to miss this virtual campaign spearheaded by Team Alex’s Army! Alex, a 13-year-old with A-T, had the idea of families, friends, and coworkers coming together to complete a series of activities in the name of A-T. Supporters from around the world can participate in this campaign by signing up their team and purchasing a bingo activity sheet. Activities are family-friendly such as making sundaes or going stargazing.

Participants can complete the challenges on their own time while sharing the donation page at atcp.org/familyfirst to fundraise. This is a team effort of A-T families coming together to complete each activity while also fundraising for a cure together!

AUDREY JANE’S LIGHT SOME RUN & FAMILY FUN DAY – APRIL 15, TEXAS

Back for a second year, this event has it all! Starting with a Some Run 5K in the morning through the Christmas tree farm, event participants and their families can stick around for day of family fun at Devine Acres Farm. Family Fun Day at the farm includes over 40 activities (such as a hayride, a giant jump pad and barnyard) plus live entertainment at the evening concert!

The event is hosted in honor of Audrey Jane, a 5-year-old girl in Texas with A-T. Per Audrey’s request, this year’s event will also include a visit from princesses and protectors like Elsa & Anna and Power Rangers.

STRIKE OUT A-T – APRIL 22, KENTUCKY

The Richardson and Hardin families are picking up where they left off in 2020 with this year’s Strike Out A-T bowling event in honor of Mason (age 17) and Sadie (age 15) who both have A-T. Mason and Sadie’s grandparents and parents have been hosting Strike Out A-T since 2014, raising lots of funds for A-T research along the way.

This year’s event includes many raffles including the popular 50/50 raffle and a Bowling Package Giveaway courtesy of Southland Lanes.

Don’t miss it! Reserve your lane today at atcp.org/event/strike-out-a-t-ky/.

AND MORE!

On April 5-8, the A-TCP is benefitting from the Equestrian Sport Productions Spring 1 Horse Show in Wellington, FL. The Grand Prix of the event will take place on Saturday afternoon with 100% of all money raised from the event going toward A-T research. The following week on April 13 – 15, 35 runners are racing in runDisney’s Springtime Surprise weekend for the A-TCP in Orlando, Florida.

And, this is just the beginning of a busy fundraising season! Thank you to each and every A-T CureTeam member working hard toward treatments and a cure. If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to us at fundraising@atcp.org or give us a call at 954-481-6611.
