Scientific Advisory network
Since its inception, the A-T Children’s Project has utilized a careful and detailed, two-tiered, peer-review selection process for making grant award decisions.
The first tier is composed of a group of all-voluntary scientific investigators and clinicians who review grant proposals and provide critical expert guidance. Their recommendations for funding are then reviewed by the A-TCP Board of Directors, who compose the second tier.
Our network of scientific advisors also share their expertise as the A-TCP continually works to refine our strategies to accelerate A-T research.
Characteristics that Define Our Network of Scientific and Clinical Advisors:
- Smart (according to many other smart people!)
- Multi-disciplinary
- From both basic science as well as clinical practice
- From academia and industry
- Active in their areas of expertise
- Not necessarily famous
- Brutally candid
- And, for the purposes of grant proposal review, cannot be receiving or seeking funds from us
We would like thank all of our advisors for sharing their valuable time with the A-TCP as it orchestrates and funds international research to accelerate progress against A-T. Meet just a few of the scientists who are part of our network of advisors:
